Buffalo State College Oral History Project Partnership with PCI

In October of 2020, Buffalo State College partnered with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) on a 12-month Oral History Project. As the College enters its 150th Anniversary year, we undertook this effort to collect stories from alumni, friends, faculty, and staff about their time at Buffalo State. Along with a history of the College, some of these stories will be included in a commemorative book, “150 Voices of Buffalo State.” The initial phase of the project is now complete. We collected nearly 9,000 stories and raised over $20,000 to support Buffalo State. We were also able to update thousands of alumni records with new addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. 

The recordings will be transcribed and archived on campus. We are now selecting the material that will be included in the book, which will be distributed in late fall 2021 to those who purchased it. For those who purchased packages including apparel, they will be shipped in June of 2021.
