About the Alumni & Visitor Center
The Jacqueline Vito LoRusso Alumni and Visitor Center, on the corner of Rockwell Road and Grant Street, opened in summer 2018. The Alumni Center is the first stop for graduates and former students during their visits to Buffalo State College. Its construction has been made possible due to generous funding from donors, including a significant gift from alumna Jackie LoRusso, B.S. '62, M.S. '64. If you are visiting Western New York or are local, stop by the Alumni Center from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday to learn more about what's new on campus and how to get involved.
The Alumni and Visitor Center offers a space for reunions and events, social and educational programs, and guest speakers; a site for showcasing the rich history of campus through photography and memorabilia; and a gateway for the prospective community students and their families, and public officials.
The facility includes:
- Costello Hall for reunions and campus events
- A conference room
- The Zemsky Family Presentation Room for College Admissions presentations
- Offices of Alumni Engagement staff
- The Penfold Patio, which overlooks a green space for outdoor events and activities
Alumni can request to reserve spaces to accommodate large and small gatherings, conferences, banquets, and more. If you are an alumnus and looking for support from the Alumni Engagement Office in planning your event, please call (716) 878-6001.
The Alumni Association and campus events are given priority in reserving the center; alumni who represent local groups, businesses, service clubs, civic and community organizations are welcome to rent the facilities. If you are interested in renting the Alumni & Visitor Center, learn more on the Events Management website.
