Class of 2020! The Alumni Association wants to celebrate you!

What is the Class of 2020 Celebration?
This is reunion is a celebration of your achievement and your time spent at Buffalo State. We know that Covid posed an unexpected challenge, but we want to celebrate you and your accomplishments. This weekend is dedicated to YOU! Come back and celebrate with us!

What are the School Reception events?
The School Receptions are hosted by the chairs, deans and professors from each school. Each school (School of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, and School of the Professions) is hosting their own get together! Join them as they wish you well on your continued journey as an alum and professional. This is your chance to network and reconnect with your educators. 

What is the "Senior Send-Off" event?
The "Senior Send-Off" party is meant to celebrate your transition from a student to an alum. Held at the JVL Alumni & Visitor Center, the staff at the Alumni Engagement Office will introduce you to your next "home." Meet up with classmates, enjoy refreshment, and receive your EXLUSIVE Class of 2020 t-shirt! 

What is the Crossing of the Stage event?
The "crossing of the stage" is a way to commemorate your achievements are Buffalo State and celebrate your time here. Class of 2020 alums who sign up for this event will be introduced and "cross the stage", listen to advice from our alumnus speaker, Del Reid, '04, and celebrate at a reception with family and friends.

What are the dates for the Class of 2020 Reunion Celebration?
Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Buffalo State University. Each School's Receptions will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday. Class of 2020's Senior Send Off will be held on Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. On Saturday, May 25th from 1:00-3:00 p.m., the Alumni Association is hosting "Class of 2020 Reunion: Crossing and Reception." How can I register for all of the events?
Registration for each event can be found here. Please make sure you register for each event you plan to attend, even if it is free. This helps the Alumni Association better prepare for each event.

I need more than 6 tickets for the "Crossing of the Stage and Reception" event. How can I do this?
Please email the Alumni Association at alumni@buffalostate.edu or call (716) 878-6102. We will assist you in receiving more tickets.

What time should I arrive for all events?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for each event. This ensures that we get you checked in before the event starts.

Are there hotel blocks available?
Yes, we have three hotel blocks available for that weekend. Please see them below. Reservations need to be made by 4/11/24 for the guaranteed rates. When you make your reservation, mention you are with the Buffalo State University hotel block.

What if I didn't book at the hotel block soon enough? Are there other options?

What is the dress code for the weekend?
Please dress business casual for the weekend, especially for the Crossing of the Stage event.

What is the dress code for "Crossing the Stage?"
Please dress business casual/professional for the crossing of the stage. It is not mandatory that you purchase a cap and gown to wear, but we do ask that you looks presentable and professional. You may wear a black cap and gown for crossing of the stage.

Where can I purchase a cap and gown from?
The Buffalo State Bookstore has cap and gowns to purchase for this event. Please view the link here.

Where should I park?
For each school's reception, please park in the closest lot to where the building is. School of Arts and Sciences (Science and Mathematics Complex) Lot I-37. School of Education (Bacon Hall) Lot I-32. School of Professions (Technology Building) Lot R-12.

When attending Senior Send Off in the evening, please park in lots R-15 and R-14, the closest lots to the JVL Alumni & Visitor Center. The Crossing of the Stage will take place in the Campbell Student Union. Please park in lots I-32, I-34, I-35 or R-12. The campus map is visible through this link.

Is the space accessible?
Yes, each event space is accessible. Please note that buildings are not right next to parking lots. You will have to walk. If you need assistance with this, please let us know and we can help accommodate.
