TV Producer and Alumna Hears Show Idea Pitches From TFA Students

Marcia Mule', ’81, a successful TV show producer in New York City, co-created “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.” She heard TV show idea pitches from students in Buffalo State’s Television and Film Arts (TFA) program when she returned to her alma mater on Tuesday, April 14.

“Land your internship during the last semester of your senior year,” Mule' advised. “It’s about being in the right place at the right time,” she added.

Mule', who started her TV career as a producer at WGRZ in Buffalo during the 1980s, offered career advice to future TFA graduates. “Be willing to take any entry-level position in the industry,” she said. “Build up your support system, and start to make a name for yourself!”

She also serves as an adjunct professor in the TFA Semester in NYC program.
