Homecoming Food Drive: Alumni Encouraged to Participate

Bengal alumni are invited to participate in the annual Homecoming Food Drive September 19-22, the week of Buffalo State’s Homecoming. Items collected will be donated to Milligan's Buffalo State Food Pantry, which serves Buffalo State students who are currently enrolled and experiencing food insecurity.

Canned foodAs many as one in five college students experience food insecurity, which means they don't have access to the food they need to live active, healthy lives, much less keep up with their studies.

Below are some of the foods that are currently needed, but any donations will be gladly accepted.

  • Canned Fruit
  • Cereal
  • Soups
  • Peanut Butter
  • Rice
  • Ravioli and Canned Pasta
  • Crackers
  • Granola Bars
  • Pasta mixes
  • Canned meats and tuna

Alumni can drop off donations in Cleveland Circle at Buffalo State on Wednesday, September 21 between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations will also be accepted throughout the week of Homecoming in the Buffalo State Alumni Affairs Office, located in Cleveland Hall 319. When dropping items off during the week of Homecoming, please call (716) 878-6001, and someone will meet you in Cleveland Circle for the items. View a campus map.
