Degree: B.A. Anthropology

Current Occupation: Director of Collections, Buffalo Museum of Science

What is one of your fondest memories of Buffalo State?
Wonderful professors - who have since become colleagues and friends.

Were you involved with any on-campus organizations as a student?
Anthropology Society

How did graduating from Buffalo State shape your future?
Through Buffalo State College, I was placed as an intern with collector Charles Rand Penney. I began my internship in 1998 and I worked alongside him until his death in 2010. He was a remarkable mentor and I wouldn't be where I am today without his guidance. I never would have met him if it wasn't for Buffalo State!

What accomplishments have you achieved since graduating from Buffalo State?
In addition to my role as Director of Collections at the Buffalo Museum of Science, I am proud to be Adjunct Faculty in Museum Studies at Buffalo State College.

Do you have any advice for current students trying to achieve success after graduation?
It's not all about what you learn in the classroom, it's the interactions and people you meet along the way that count the most.
