What is one of your fondest memories of Buffalo State?

Seeing the Buffalo State campus in the fall is something I remember from every year. The leaves turning on campus and the change of seasons is always beautiful. There are a lot of places to hang outside in between classes, and there was usually always something going on in the main courtyard.

Were you involved with any on-campus organizations as a student?

ASID through my major.

How did graduating from Buffalo State shape your future?

Graduating from Buffalo State I received the Dean's Award for Excellence, which started me out on the right foot. Staying local for college helped me start networking and plant professional roots before I graduated. The Interior Design major is phenomenal in keeping up to date with business trends, pushing you to put your best work forward, and giving the students a well-rounded education so we can use our degree in many ways.

What accomplishments have you achieved since graduating from Buffalo State?

I was able to get hired in my career field while I was still in school, due to the subject matter covered in my major class. It made it easy to jump in and help and gain experience right away. I have assisted with national and international styling campaigns with Fisher Price, worked on three HGTV shows, and help maintain a successful locally owned residential and commercial Interior Design firm. Recently, I've been hired to instruct part-time at Buffalo State in the Interior Design major.

Do you have any advice for current students trying to achieve success after graduation?

Take any opportunity presented to you, no matter how large or small. Be confident in who you are professionally and personally.
