What is one of your fondest memories of Buffalo State?
I loved the people I met and the experiences we had together. The theater department was a bunch of fun people and my roommates I lived with I am still friends with today. I'd have to say being involved in all of the theater productions was a really great memory.

Abby Holland, '06
Were you involved with any on-campus organizations as a student?

I had a radio show for a semester
I was an Orientation Leader in 2005

How did graduating from Buffalo State shape your future?
The people in the community I became close to, really helped me have the courage to go out and do what I wanted to do.

What accomplishments have you achieved since graduating from Buffalo State?
Moved to NYC
Worked my way up from an intern to a segment producer at VH1
Became a performer at The Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater
I have a sketch show running at UCB called Balls Deep -
Became a performer at The People's Improv Theater - I perform there with a musical improv group, Dagger - every other Friday.
I'm a comedy writer at Lady Parts Justice - a reproductive rights organization - ( I know, we bring comedy and abortion TOGETHER!)
Booked a Giphy commercial -

Do you have any advice for current students trying to achieve success after graduation?

NETWORK! Ask questions, make friends, get involved in the community outside campus. One thing they say in the 'BIZ' is, 'Do your A material even in the B room,' which essentially means, always bring your best foot forward. It's really corny, but it's true. If you really want something and you work hard for it, it'll pay off. It may take a while, but it'll be worth it. Plant those seeds, you never know when they'll sprout, just keep watering.
