Senior Service Award
The Senior Service Award is presented annually during Reunion Weekend at the 50-Plus Club Reception. This honor is awarded to alumni who graduated at least 50 years ago and have distinguished themselves in the area of college and/or community service in support of the mission of Buffalo State.
The Buffalo State Alumni Association welcomes nominations year-round for the Senior Service Award from alumni, faculty, staff, emeriti, alumni chapters, students, recognized campus organizations, and friends of the college. Self-nominations are also accepted. All nominations are active for three years, including the initial year they are considered.
The ideal candidate will meet most or all of the following criteria:
- Currently active in hands-on work in the community
- Active membership in community organizations or boards
- Demonstrated service to Buffalo State and/or the Alumni Association
- Received recognition for outstanding service to the community, college, or Alumni Association as a volunteer
- Viewed as a wise advisor and force for positive change
This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize graduates who, during their golden years, are using their time and talent in the service of others. Please note that honorees must be able to attend the 50-Plus Club Reception in order to receive the award. View a list of previous award recipients.
Please note: Nominations are accepted year-round. Please see the Senior Service Award Nomination Form to submit your nomination.
