Inauguration of Katherine S. Conway-Turner, Ph.D. Held October 21

The inauguration of Buffalo State's ninth president, Katherine S. Conway-Turner, Ph.D., was held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 12:15 p.m. The ceremony took place in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, and a reception followed the event in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall.

Landmarks across Western New York, including the Peace Bridge and Niagara Falls, were illuminated orange on the night of the inauguration to commemorate it. View photos of the landmarks on the Alumni Association’s Facebook fan page.

Also, a full week of events was held in conjunction with the inauguration, whose theme was “Reaching for the Stars: Engagement, Excellence, and Social Responsibility.” Members of both the Buffalo State and wider Western New York community were invited to attend the Inauguration Week events.
