Buffalo State welcomeS Miguel Calderon back to campus for the EOP Honors Convocation and 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Buffalo State Alumni Association and the campus community proudly welcome Miguel Calderon back to campus for the EOP Honors Convocation and 50th Anniversary Celebration! In honor of his professional accomplishments and his support of Buffalo State, Mr. Calderon will be named the 2017 EOP Distinguished Alumnus.

Calderon’s college journey began at Borough of Manhattan Community College where he earned an associate’s degree in 1973.  Later that year, he enrolled at Buffalo State as a student within the Educational Opportunity Program.  In 1975, Miguel graduated with a baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice.  For over 40 years, Calderon has worked in banking, currently serving as the Managing Director/Credit Risk Executive for the J.P. Morgan Chase Commercial Bank Specialized Industries Group. Calderon’s team has national coverage responsibility for municipal, higher education, healthcare and not-for-profit clients, managing a multi-billion dollar credit portfolio.

Miguel Calderon remains actively involved in the Buffalo State community and is a long-term supporter of the College.  In 2016, he participated in the Chase Corporate Challenge and was a guest of honor at the Buffalo State tent.
