Over the years, Buffalo State alumni have chosen to honor their alma mater by establishing a scholarship. Your donation to the Alumni Fund supports these ongoing scholarships and ensures that future generations of students may receive the complete education that only Buffalo State can provide.

The Buffalo State Alumni Association has extended the deadline for scholarship applications until May 1, 2013. Students that are missing required documents to complete their application can still drop of references to our office. Scholarship winners will be announced in June.

Application Guidelines:

1. Complete the scholarship application form online.
   
   
2. Download & Submit two reference forms – Submissions can be made by Buffalo State faculty/staff, community member or employer. Two reference forms must be included with your application. Applicants are instructed to pick up completed reference forms, placed in a sealed and initialized envelope by their reference, and submit them with their application.
   
   
3. The online form will request a typed essay no more than one page in length (double-spaced), with established 1-inch margins on all sides and a Times New Roman 12-inch font, using proper English grammar, and written as follows:

• First Paragraph:
  Identify your leadership qualities as developed through participation in the following areas:
  
  • Community service
  • Campus activities
  • Employment experiences
  • Academic achievements
• Second Paragraph:
  Explain:
  
  • Why you have chosen to pursue your studies at Buffalo State?
