The Alumni Association hosted a reception before the Casting Hall Production of Anything Goes on Saturday, November 21, 2009.

Food, fun and friends, all part of "We've Got Orange!" Homecoming celebration 2009, moved to its new location in the Houston Gym.

The Buffalo State Alumni Association honors three alumni for their significant professional advancements, demonstrated service to the community, and demonstrated loyalty and commitment to Buffalo State College.

Alumni said farewell to President Howard and her husband Albert Howard during a reception at the president's residence. This really was the final chance to say goodbye.The moving trucks had already made one visit to the house.

It is not every day you get to dine with a dean, much less two. A group of alumni had that pleasure, dining with Ben Christy, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities and Mark Serverson, Dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences. They shared news about the $350 million in construction projects underway on campus and news about academic life in and out of the classroom at Buffalo State.

Decorator Mark Taylor, '86 presented the inside scoop to a group of alumni on the Decorator's Showhouse in Williamsville, NY.

Opportunity Knocks is a leadership program where selected Buffalo State student-leaders spent the afternoon traveling, meeting with alumni, and learning directly about what leadership skills are important for success. Students met with Buffalo mayor Byron Brown, '83, at City Hall, anchors and reporters at Channel 2 studios, human service staff at Child and Family Services, and advisers at ECC City Campus.

Florida Club Events 2009 ? Improving our world, one student at a time.A record number of alumni attended events in five Florida communities and heard how Buffalo State continues to help change the world ? one student at a time. A DVD presentation featuring scholarship students talking about their Buffalo State experiences highlighted the importance of scholarship awards, especially in these difficult economic times. A trivia contest, complete with prizes, brought back memories of days at ?State?. As you will see, there was good food and good fellowship at every event. The Alumni Association established the Young Alumnus Achievement Awards in 2002 to recognize outstanding alumni who graduated within the last 20 years. Recipients are chosen by the Alumni Affairs Director and the President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, from a list of nominees recommended by the Young Alumnus Achievement Award Selection Committee. This committee is made up of alumni, faculty, and Alumni Association board members.The Alumni Association solicits nominees for this honor from faculty, staff, emeriti, alumni, students, and friends of the college.
